TGIF…Leavened whole wheat flour blended with canola oil carrom seeds sesame seeds cumin seeds salt termeric powder red n chilli powder pan toasted soft yet crispy flat breads (Gujarati cusine favourite breakfast – tikhi bhakri), tangy baby mango pickle (dabla keri athanu) & a cup of ginger flavoured Indian style tea (Aduwadi chaa) for Friday breakfast at Patels kitchen!

 

Mexican corn bean rice garnished with texmex cheese n cilantro, Asian pear slices, Haldirams mini bhakarwadi snack & organic mango Orange juice for Neer’s Friday school
Spiced potatoes n peas stuffed in all-purpose flour flat triangles deep fried to perfection and served with spicy green chili Sause n sweet dates tamarind Sause & pan-fried plantains for Friday lunch at work take out from Embassy Samosa King Restaurant Scarborough – Finch/Middlefield intersection! (Ever since I migrated in CANADA (1999) have been visiting this place for samosas and when waiting in a line to get the samosa think, “Next time I am not coming to get samosas as I can’t resist the aroma”. The moment I get the samosas and put them in my mouth the thought changes to, “the wait up for up to an hour is OK”. The best part is I have always been paying a dollar for 5 samosas since 1999 and they are always fresh, hot, crunchy & flaky!

Chicken seekh kabab & sliced onions for Friday starters at home party!

Spicy paneer bhurji, garlic naan, jeera rice, dal fry, chicken lolipop, shredded radish, onion slices n roasted papad for late night Saturday dinner at King Tandoori Kennedy location… hangout with friends!
